Today I sent a piece of feedback using Jing to a student in the Netherlands, I sent 37 e mails to 52 students. I facilitated an online session using adobe connect waiting until 6pm to ensure all my students could be home from work. I made a mind map using mind genius tagged a photo on face book and looked at the newspaper headlines in Rome online (all in my lunch break). I converted a URL into a PDF at the click of a nifty web 2.0. I then checked 4 blogs which I am involved in with my students.
I am a first generation techno user being a child of the 60's and embrace what is new and available to me to enhance the experience of the students I teach via online distance learning.
I am an eager techno beaver and believe that the 3rd and 4th generation of "techno learners" will find education which is truly available to those who wish to take the opportunity to study. I thought seeing a microwave for the first time was amazing now I can have a microwave moment every day!!
